  1. It depends on the thickness of the clouds and where the sun is.

  2. A cloud's colour depends upon how it interacts with the sunlight. If a cloud covers the whole visible area of the sky,the depth of the cloud detemines the colour of the cloud. If it is less deep,it looks gery and if it is deeper,it looks darker.

If all the wavelengths of the sun's visible light(ie,all colours)are not blocked, but scattered EQUALLY,the result is the white light. So,if the clouds do not cover the sun and the sun is shining, the cloud is white in general.

  3. dunno, good question!

  4. grey clouds are full of rain.

  5. Well this is why clouds appear to look gray or white. Its all an illusion by nature. All clouds are white, and that is due to their formation. When a cloud becomes big enough and is full of moisture particles, it blocks out sunlight, and that is why it looks gray, especially at the bottom of the cloud. But, if you can see a storm cloud from a good distance, you will see that the entire cloud is white.
