Why are some images appearing and others not on internet browser?

Question

I recently changed a setting and I can't remember what I believe it was in the Properties of my computer, but now I only see pieces of websites. Links that are in the format of pictures I can't even view I can scroll over and sometimes it will tell me, but I can't see the location. I see like a simple format of every web page I view all I see on this page are the forms, boxes, and words. Oh, and the yahoo answers image at the very top.

internet explorer sucks, u should use google`s browser FIRE FOX, its really safe, secured, powerfull and most fast web browser in the world, u can get it free at the link below, u can install it ina  few minutes
