My husband just bought a new phone ( the motorokr) and we were able to download some of the songs, but some of our songs will not download because it says they are a protected song. I don't really understand why that is. We paid for the songs and I thought that we would be able to put them on our music devices. We have had no problem putting them on our mp3 players or even burning them to cds. Is there a way that I will be able to put them on to my husbands phone? It is about 1/2 of the songs we have that will not download.

  1. In order for the device to play protected songs it needs to support the song's DRM. MP3 player do support Windows DRM, but a cell phone may not (and does not need to).

Make a CD of the songs, then rip them again as MP3s. That will strip the DRM.
