At the lower section its mostly red with white sprinkled at the top it's mostly white with some red.

  1. Just for aesthetics (to look nice) probably.

  2. ya i noticed that too when i was there but didn't pay much attention to it (who wuld? i mean i was watching micheal phelps win his 7th gold medal!!) an thought well maybe it has like an order of some kind (those chinese love order even if you can't understand it unles youre super smart an speak chinese) i doubt they did it on accident

  3. To make the stadium look beautiful.  I think.

  4. I don't know if it is aethestics or if it has to do with pricing of tickets.  This article shows the seats and describes that there are more of one color on certain levels but does not say why.http://turcanu.net/blog/2008/08/04/plan-...

The seats that are strictly VIP are entirely different than these and are located in between second and third floor tribunes are wrapped in soft fabrics....   picture here http://turcanu.net/blog/2008/06/06/beiji...

  5. make it more creative

  6. I think it's just to make the arenas more colorful and pretty.  After all, they were built with the express purpose of being seen on TV.  I think they look really nice!
