Why are some of the links on my My Yahoo page opening in new tabs?

Some of the links to news stories open in the same window, but in the last few days, I've noticed that most of the links in my modules open in different tabs in Firefox and different windows in IE. How can I adjust that?

I have seen the same issue in the last few days.  Whether using IE or Fire Fox, at home or work - so I know it is not a browser setting.  I too am looking for a way to control this.
