Why are some people against girls asking out the guy?

Is it because they think it's wrong or they need to keep things 'classic'?

The start of a relationship sets up certain expectations for the course of the relationship.  Where a girl presents herself as aggressive, it often sends a signal that she is not willing to stay in a relationship where she is not in control, or that she does not want a long term relationship.  A suitable response seems to be, "wham, bam, t'ank you m'am."  The most fulfilling relationships address more than simply financial or sexual needs.  They also satisfy emotional, psychological and spiritual needs.  Thus, the best relationships require time, patience, persistence, and self-restraint.  Also, there should be a thoughtful flow and pacing of risk-taking and self-exposure.  When building a relationship there is continual movement from one level of commitment to another.  It is always best to send only the signals that communicate your true readiness and willingness for each next level of commitment.
