Question:

Why are some people considered "deep"?

Is it because they've been through more stuff in life, either externally or internally? Or is it just how they were born? A few people that I talk to have said that I'm deep, which is definitely a compliment to me. Why do you think some people are "heavy thinkers", and others might not be so "heavy"?

Thanks!

  1. I don't really think its a matter of experience.  I think its being able to produce a well thought out answer or perspective of an issue that people tend to get caught up in.  It helps too if you can phrase it in a way that the asker can comprehend it easily the first time, and recognize its validity right off.

When someone recognises "truth" in what you are saying, especially when they had difficulty identifying the situation clearly, they think you go deeper beneath the surface of an issue than the average person does.

I think many people see this as a good comparison to water.  Troubled waters are often show rapids on the surface, but under the surface the current is swift but smooth.  Once you get past the shallow surface, the under current can take you right to the heart of the matter.  Some people feel more comfortable skimming along the top, others like the deeper faster current beneath.

  2. Well that's a matter of Phycology and theorpy. But I can try to help.Being "Deep" just means that you understand people's thoughts and the people themselves as well.I hope I'm not confusing you or anything but people say that I'm pretty deep to so I just put that statment into sentences and work my way up to find the true answer.I'm srry I'm more of a poet then a Phycologist. But basically being DEEP just means that you understand what's going on and can relate to it so find a way to help.In other words,Confusing....in a GOOD way though.Hoped that helped!

  3. Some people have a mind that likes to analyze and delve into the reasons for things, while others have no interest in that at all. They don't want to be deep, so it works out.

  4. i think its a persons perspective/personality, some ppl have that mentality where they don't question things through, they just sort of take them as they are. but other ppl think things through more analytically.

  5. im considered "deep"

  6. Analytical...

  7. Well, I suppose you could call someone "deep" if they make you think about things in depth or at length or in a way you've never thought of before. You know, the kind of thoughts that are difficult to consider because the answers aren't easy and sometimes they hurt to think about them. I suppose it's a reactionary conception to today's rampant shallowness, and for someone to be considered deep might mean that they see past the surface and ask how or why.

  8. i dont see myself as anything more then the people i meet but people tell me im very "different".i know the truth about alot for my age and i really dont like telling my whole life story unless you just ask me XD.most people seem very intrested in me and want to know so much about me when it doesnt even matter at all.and im not bragging but i been thrugh alot i guess.uuuuuh lemme think about this....family problems, friends that died, been shot by a shootout, seen somone die infront of my eyes (bad neighborhood XD) and so much more bull in my life.but WHAT DOESNT KILL YOU MAKES YOU STRONGER.
