Even if they're like a teen, they're so nice, funny, open to people, generous, happy, and never judgmental or mean.

  2. They realize that contribution trumps opposition.

  3. im one of those teens like that,my best guess is the things i have had to work through in life make me appreciate life more, and i also have an amazing gf now so she is my reason for smiling like i do.as for the funny part i was born that way,lol

  4. they were raised by good parents.

  5. I was like that untill i realized life was nothing like how i imagined.

  6. because they work at it. everyone has a temper, some people just have more practice at controlling it. sure, when people are younger their upbringing has a big influence, but people who grow up on the streets can be good people too. it's all about choices. do you treat someone kindly even if they don't return the favor? do you respect others, regardless their differences, even if they willingly chose those differences? anyone can decide they want to be a good person, and if they act on that desire, they will be.

  7. some people like that best... and like what they receive from it... lots of reasons i could go on about nature vs nurture but bottom line is they want to

  8. Because they are closest to nature

  9. I think some people are just determined to be happy themselves and try to make sure others around them are happy as well. Genuinely good people will surround themselves with others that share the same qualities. Unfortunately, the most sincere folks often get taken for granted or taken advantage of quite a bit. That didn't help with the why of it though, now did it?

  10. to add, they came from a stable two parent home.

  11. good parents have a lot to do. maybe they where jsut born with it.

  12. At the end of the day, it's because they choose to be. They're happier that way and they wouldn't want to be any other way. That's the proximal reason.

As to the absolute reason, I don't know whether it's nature or nurture.

  13. Because for some people it provides greater peice of mind to focus on the positive than to dwell in negativity or sadness. Just because they can hide it better doesn't mean it isn't there. They are just the only people compassionate enough to set their own pains aside to focus on other's happiness and the happiness that is "between the lines" of every day moments. They are humble and conscious of their effect on others. It is too bad that these people can be singled out as extraordinary. I can't wait for happiness and compassion to be ordinary! You create your awareness, lets make it a positive one!

  14. it does NOT take two parents that eat together to raise a good person. it takes a good person to raise a good person. I am a single mother of one and very confident that I am a good person raising a good person.......to add to a comment earlier
