We must find ways to minimize or eliminate needless suffering.

i.e. the suffering of a child waiting for his dad to come home from work,  Does dad really need to work so much?

its not just that some people are meant to suffer, its that some people need to expierience hardships more so than others because thats what will help them grow as a person and sometimes people shy away from it and become emo or w/e and other times ppl learn to live with it and become that much stronger. its just how you deal with things, everyone will suffer at some point and the ones who suffer more than others are the ones who will become stronger people

  I wouldn't agree that only "some" people are "meant" to suffer. I believe that suffering, in greater or lesser degrees, at one time or other in one's life, is part of the human condition.  Whether it is a child going to school for the first time, upset because he is leaving the comfort of home to the teen ager going through a first break up or the married couple going through a divorce....everyone has some suffering in one's life.  One thing I know for sure is that the term "this too shall pass" is pretty reliable.  We need to remain as positive as we can in the face of tragedy or pain and suffering and to give ourselves time to heal while at the same time surrounding ourselves with positive people and taking advantage of every support at our disposal.  Good luck to you if you are one of those suffering right now.

most of the time they are just getting their come up-ins aka you get what you deserve or God is testing their patients, how they handle situations, etc. God tests those whom He loves. or its the plan God has for them, it might start out bad but once a door closes a window opens.
