  1. This puzzles me too.

We all have a deep need to feel that we matter, that we're important.

For some people, this leads to the ffalse need of "fame" and such -- that I only really matter when everyone knows and loves me.

    It's sad.

First, it's impossible for everyone to be famous; second, once the few who wanted it actually GET it, it's a nightmare, in reality (or many aspects of it are).

  2. what i feel is that its coz of a lot of exposure like in reality shows, sports, n any t.v.shows, people're just going mad about fame and especially teens! i guess thats the only reason!

  3. They are called "strivers"....they strive for things like that.  I'm sure you understand what I mean.

  4. Persons whom strive for those as opposed to self dependence and true knowledge are lacking self confidence and feel (incorrectly) that others acknowledging them will make them respectable and knowledgeable. Ergo giving them self confidence...

Sort of like a person whom is distraught, getting drunk to solve his unhappiness, as opposed to finding out why he is unhappy and fixing the root of the problem.

  5. Trust me, 80% of the population are trying to find popularity and it really sucks. I mean whats the point. Everyone knows everyone else? God thats boring.
