  1. I do it for the cool title and the chicks dig it.

  2. There are as many reasons as there are vegetarians.  For me, it's ethical considerations, environmental considerations and health reasons.  For others, the simple fact that they don't like meat may be enough, and for some, their faith informs their decision.

  3. 1. They love animals

    2. Wants to be healthy

    3. Can't eat meat because of medical conditions

    4. Because of religion

    5. Because their friends are vegetarians

    6. Wants to loose weight by eating only vegtables

  4. we just like to be

  5. Traditionally there are vegetarians on religious ground evolved for centuries.

Current trend, indeed more intellectual population groom worldwide and the true facts are being passed down to the lay persons. Even my kids are capable to witness through their own eyes the human deeds towards the poor animals. There is no need to lie to them anymore.

  6. Personal Choice, and some can't stand the thought of animals being killed for food.  Again though its all personal beliefs and choice.

  7. Well I am thinking of becoming a vegetarian not for any other reason than I am just bored with meats and veggies are easier to digest and less expensive.

  8. Because some of them really care about animals and don't want to consume meat.

Some want to be healthy and know that meat is not that good for you

And some are just plain weird pretentious show offs

  9. Most vegetarians recognise that animals deserve to live and be free from suffering.

Sadly, most vegetarians don't realise that animals are treated just the same way in the egg and dairy industry.

There are some 'health vegetarians' and 'spirituality vegetarians' too, and it's a part of some religions and cultures.

  10. Many are vegetarians because of animal rights.  Vegetarians don't just become veggie's just because of the concept of eating meat. A lot are just vegetarians because of what goes on behind the scenes in the meat packing industry. Or people may just be a vegetarian because of a diet. Meats contain more fat than soy products most of the time (personally I think the soy stuff tastes better anyway).  A plus to being a vegetarian is a healthier lifestyle if you know what to eat while doing it. I am a vegan myself, and since then I've become a much happier person. I'm only fourteen, but I know what to eat so my parents are okay with it.

  11. www.meat.org <===Meet your meat.

  12. I'm not just a vegetarian I'm a vegan because I think it's healthy and I love animals and don't like eating them

  13. For me, I discovered that I am not designed to eat meat (or other animal products).  I was studying diet, nutrition, human physiology, etc. in relation to optimum fitness when I came to this conclusion.  With the evidence before you and eyes-open, it's is so obvious that humans are not meant to eat eat animals, period.  We are best suited to eating fruits.  Then other green vegetation, and on down the list to the more hearty more difficult to digest roots, nuts, seeds, grains, etc.  We are nowhere near being an omnivore, not even close, it's so very plain to see, if people would just look.  It's so ingrained in the culture that I grew up in, the the thought never occurred to me.  Question everything, is the answer.  Even if you've been doing it your whole life, everyone else you know is doing it, your parents, your friends, famous people, people on TV...it's everywhere, so how can it be wrong, correct?  How can something so wide-spread be so wrong?  The answer to that is clear to see too.  Animal cruelty?... it never occurred to me either.  First and foremost is ME.  But after finding out what the optimum diet is for humans, I started to look at other things, and how I personally affected the world around me by the choices I make on a day-to-day basis.  Riding my bicycle instead of driving.  Eating plant based diet instead of animal based.  Recycling or reusing instead of throwing things in the garbage. We, each of us, has a ripple effect on the world around us.  With global trade, that ripple effect spreads out from each of us very quickly and profoundly.
