  1. You aren't saying much for the white IQ levels by the way you wrote this question. I think it is because white men usually make the IQ tests and they gear them towards white men. Koreans do better because their culture puts more emphasis on education than other countries do.

  2. Lot of ideologically driven nonsense answers here. The heavy G-laden parts of IQ tests are almost impossible to bias. Such as counting backwards,  ( called reverse span ) reaction time and rotating objects in three dimensions. All the above ideologues fail to mention this. There is populational variance, despite what social science is lead to believe by their ideology. The problem is determining why. Is it environmental, or is it genetic, or both? No hard and fast answers on this yet.

  3. IQ tests aren't recognized as a true intelligence test by professionals.  That being said...have a nice day.

  4. A lot of it has to do with education.  The poorer quality the education, the "lower" the I.Q.

  5. IQs don't necessarily measure inborn intelligence.  Blacks and Indians are downcasts in their societies.  They get less education.  They train their thinking differently.

  6. If what you're saying is true, it may be because IQ tests are designed in countries that adopt a certain way of testing what they believe is IQ.

It may just be geared towards them and it may be a way to just show certain aspects of their intelligence that they value culturally.

For example, Asians and Whites both value formalized and similar education systems. Maybe the IQ tests are geared to allow this type of intelligence to shine.

Or, Native Americans and Blacks may just be dumber.

    No one can really know.

All I know is I don't trust standardized tests. Some people I know who scored high on their SAT's are totally incompetent. There are some people I know who scored low and ended up becoming highly competent and successful.

  7. IQ tests are subjectives and are designed to fit specific criterias different from place to place. Also the gradation can also be different. So scores from a place to another will always be different. Of course culture have a job to do in the understanding of our environment but it only mean that it is more valued there than here. Also intelligent people doesn't mean that they are better than others, in fact Einstein was not known to have a high IQ but instead was very imaginative... Imagination make the big difference in world, it drives our countries innovations and discoveries, things that very only intelligent people will have great difficulties to do other than going by the incremental way...

  8. Honestly you really shouldn't trust standardized testing.  People don't even really have a solid definition of 'intelligence' and if there's really one true mental test that can give an overall rating of a person's mental ability.

Covering this up though is a bad idea, if it is, because it makes it seem that the 'politically correct' people are trying to hide the 'truth' that people of color are actually less intelligent.  Instead it should be known of all the soft ground  and poor definitions that these tests are based on.  These tests, for one, are speech and culturally Euro specified.  Any culture gap works against the testees.  This is currently being recognized and people are trying to find a more universal test.

Also I've noticed that there is a common misunderstanding of what should be 'race' based and what is 'class' based.  Minority students in the same middle class status as their white counterparts don't have a significant difference in IQ/SAT test scores, in America and otherwise.  You, questionee, may want to look into that.  There is a lot of interesting info on educational performance and the economic status of the family people come from.

  9. First of all intelligence isn't racially determined.  Caucasians, Negroes, and Mongolians peoples are all equivalent and have the same basic intelligence level.

Now intelligence can be culturally determined by which country emphasizes education and a strong nurturing family unit.  For example: A lot of black Africans have a higher I.Q. than black Americans, or Japanese have a higher I.Q. than Nisei (Japanese Americans).

As Linus Pauling stated after winning his second Nobel Prize, "Genius is 99% hard work."

So the culture which encourages education and fosters a stable environment will produce members with higher I.Q.s (of course there are the dummies within each population, but that also has nothing to do with race.).

  10. IQ has nothing to do with races

  11. your sentence structure indicates your LOW I.Q. level...

  12. It may all depend on the IQ test. Not everyone speaks good English, or one form of English, but they are not necessarily dumb. Not everyone has a culture that is compatible with time pressure associated with certain tests.

So intelligence may not be a function of "race" but IQ (as determined by a test) may be... as long as truly culture-fair tests of intelligence are not available.

Intelligence is also partly determined by access to and quality of education, nutrition, and the amount of environmental support and motivation that an individual has (all of which may be affected by poverty experienced by minorities). Also Asians are taught and trained from childhood to value school and to excel. M

  13. Buy and read 'Race Differences In Intelligence' by Richard Lynn. That

book contains the most thorough modern information on race and IQ.

It lists the IQs not only of races, but of many specific countries. Such

IQ scores are based upon culturally-unbiased IQ tests.

The false belief that IQ tests do not measure intelligence, and/or that

they are culturally biased, stems from the desire to disrupt the

fundamental logical truth that different entities are not necessarily

equivalent. That desire is a mental focus of crude blind seeping

oneness. That desire is also the cause of political far-leftism.
