  1. Yes it is true. I was born in the south in America and most of them(whites and blacks) hates me because I'm asian. Maybe because in the south it is mostly black and white.

  2. I'm not meaning to be offensive, but your question is based on ignorance and stereotypes. There are tons of people everywhere, not just the south, that are racist. I've seen plenty of racist people in all corners of the US.

  3. I'm not sure though but I think the whole rasical problems first started in the south and there are some racist people from past generations that think being racist is right.

    EX- georgia

  4. southern americans?

    what country?

  5. well, as someone from the south, i find your comment especially rude, because not all southern people are like as you say. back 30 or 40 years ago, when the KKK was still booming, yes, people were racist. but now, its 2008 and not too many people are still like that. and just so you know, people from ALL OVER THE WORLD are racist, not just southerners.

it isnt about "who is more racist" a racist is a racist no matter which way you look at it. what about when people from the north call southerners rednecks or hicks? isnt that racism? stereotyping? this isnt the 1900's anymore. people have grown up and got over it. i think you should take my advice and get over it as well.

  6. I wouldn't say that's necessarily always true.  I grew up in the North...in Cleveland in fact, and there are plenty of bigoted people there. In fact, of all the places I've lived Chicago was probably one of the most prejudiced and hateful places I had ever been...and there are parts of California and Oregon that aren't much better.

If I had any problems in the South, it seemed to be more about the whole North/South thing than about race.  I could be in a room with two Southerners, one white and one black...and the black southerner would more often than not side with the white southerner and both would call me an "uppity Northerner."
