They makes it seem like when adults (married or not) have s*x there are no consquences.

When I say they I mean like.. teachers, parents, doctors.

I was just wondering why.

  1. Because in America, the higher percentage of people who have s*x, aids, hiv, etc are adolescents

  2. There are.

It's just teens don't know as much as they should (or they pretend not to)

And teens are pretty dumb when it comes to thinkingg about consequences.

  3. Because teens tend to be uninformed and reckless. It's that simple.

  4. Well, they seem to think we teenagers are brainless, s*x-crazed weirdos that go around doing it with everyone and everything. Just aslong as its not you, ignore it. They were teens once too.

  5. Because people have narrow-minded stereotypical opinions and they're looking for someone "less responsible" to blame it on so they don't look bad. BUT most people with STD's are people aged 15-24 so they aren't TOTALLY wrong I guess.

I'm a teen Mom and people don't realize that me and my boyfriend are still together, able to support our son, love and care for him very much, i'm graduating 6 months early and going to university. They just assume i'm single, poor, and a bad mother with no future.

To the person that said s*x between adults is mostly married s*x...where have you been man? You cannot be serious lol.

  6. there are consequences when anyone has s*x...

the problem is that when adults do it there old enough to handle the consequences most of the time, there more mature and able to take care of whatever situation they may get themselves in ...teens are not mature enough to take care of themselves yet.they don't understand the consequences of there actions and how it may effect the rest of there life.

  7. Because they think that teens are stupid and irresponsible (and a lot are), but it's unfair to those who are responsible and who know how to prevent and protect ourselves from that stuff. But, many teens ARE irresponsible, and therefore, keep making those mistakes, and we're young and stuff so, we can't necessarily pay for, and completely deal with these situations we are putting ourselves in, so people assume that NO ONE can handle it.

  8. ... lol sorry, this is kinda an obvious question.

its because teens don't use protection.

or know half the stuff that they should about s*x.

adults are a little bit smarter than us.........

  9. MOST s*x between adults is married s*x, where there generally are few to no (unexpected) concequenses.  In otherwords, married adults are supposed to have s*x because they are in a position to handle the concequenses.

Teens on the other hand are almost NEVER married and are seldom in a position to handle the consequences of s*x.

  10. I know.

Because teens aren't suppose to do anything.

  11. i think its just that now a days we got so many of these teenagers running around here and not worrying about catchin somethin or getting prgnant that alot of them get pregnant and or an std

  12. Because teens are usually too immature and irresponsible to think of the consequences and use protection.  But sure, there are dumb adults too, it's not just teens.

  13. I don't think it's "Always related to teens." I think the facts speak for themselves.

There's a difference between an adult and an adolescent/teen. As an adult, we don't have unprotected s*x because we understand ALL the complications that can arise from that one single act. As a adolescent/teen, they have s*x for a variety of reasons. They have s*x to be cool with their friends, to be the first one in a group to say they aren't a virgin, to get pregnant and then wonder HOW it happened. Teens have s*x on a whim. They don't think about ALL the things that can go wrong or all the bad things that could happen to them.

I'm not saying every adult practices safe s*x. What I am saying is that we have the common sense to know what can or will happen. Teens haven't honed that skill yet...common sense. The only thing they worry about is if they're going to get caught or if they're going to end up pregnant. They don't stop to think that if they have s*x with one boy, who has had s*x with 3 other girls, and she's had s*x with 6 different guys, etc., that they're having s*x with ALL those past partners. It's not something that paints a pretty picture. It's not something they WANT to think about because they have the mentality that, "It can't happen to me."
