Why are synchronized swimmers SO underpaid and get little coverage in the sports section of the paper?

How long was I asleep.  I was watching synchronized swimming and must have dozed off.  Seriously it might find a modest following if the girls were under 200 lbs.

Because no one cares and no one watches.  Unless people are willing to pay a bigger price tag for it, the pay will never go up.  Life is not fair.....   people are willing to pay $700 for NBA or NFL so the players make into the millions a year.  

Someone has to pay for it!
