Why are taller people more prone to joint pain?

Like myself and i'm 6"3' . I am going through a martial arts class right now. I am frequently required to do break falls on my back. Would prior weight training have minimized my back pains i'm going through now?

    the human head is fairly heavy

    To keep it further off the ground, might put greater strain on bones and muscles.

    Mmmm!? Nah. its probably just taller people have longer bones and muscles, a larger area of both, so have more that could go wrong, increasing the odds???

    Nah! I have no idea really - both ideas could have some truth.
