  1. The class  and the behavior of the students in the class IS the teacher's business.

  2. After reading all the answers all I have to say is LOL in a good way..bd

  3. Hmmm, if you were talking to me and I turned to look at my g/f who was waving at me and blew you off, wouldn't you be upset?

Teachers are busting their rear ends to give you a shot in this world. They not only have to teach you a subject, but they are responsible for teaching you how to act in polite society. If you pulled that stunt in the business world, you would be reprimanded and eventually fired.

Remember, the classroom is a place of business and as such has expectations. You are not in a private setting, you are at work, so by acting the way you did at work, you made it your teachers business. I am sure they have better things to do than deal with your b/f's hand.

  4. That wasn't getting into your business....

It's disrespectful to the teacher to not pay attention. You think they like standing in front of a bunch of ignorant kids, trying to get them to learn at least one little thing? Honestly, most teachers hate irresponsible students-even if those students get the best grades in the class. Teachers love students that are obviously hard workers and get decent (at least) grades.

  5. cuz the teacher sees it as being disruptive.

Plus, teachers are always more strict at the beginning of the yr. so that kids behave in their class, and then they loosen up as the yr goes on.

  6. Imagine this...

You are sitting in a board room with your co-workers and your boss is at the head of the table. Your boss is in the middle of a very important speech relaying much-needed information to you so that you may do your job accordingly, and you turn and wave at your best friend across the room. Um, do you think your boss is going to smile and allow you to chat and/or make gestures to your friends? I think not! One, you are disrespecting your boss. Two, you are not focused on the task at-hand.

I hope you get the connection and I don't need to tell you that the classroom is like the board room in this scenario, and your teacher is like the boss.

Teachers are not only there to teach you, but to prepare you for the real world.

  7. I have been an elementary school  teacher for 15 years, and one of the first caveats (laws, if you will) for teachers was that we are responsible for EVERYTHING that happens in the classroom, good or bad.   So, discipline must be maintained, even at the cost of interrupting your personal exchange  with your boyfriend.  You see, bad behavior not dealt with  is very contagious in an upper grade classroom, what with all the boyfriends, girlfriends, exes, telephone texting and clothing concerns that all you teenagers seem to think is soooo important!  The teacher is there to teach, and I assume YOU are there to learn!  Zero tolerance area, my dear.  A school is about the business of teaching subjects to students, it's not about social connections.

  8. School is not a place to fool around or flirt with your BF. It is a place of business. You need an education so that you will be able to support yourself. Do you think a boss will allow you to flirt when you are working?

    It's time to grow up.

  9. What you are paying attention to in class is very much the teacher's business!
