Why are teh Tires such an issue today?

i dont really see what makes the track be so crewl on tires

the tire sucks i guess but also they said something about the track having a diamond texture to it so with a weak tire and this really rough track its just grinding into the tires

They grind the asphault with Diamond grinders that there is more grip for the Indy 500, and doing so, they are now tearing up tires because of how the car places it's weight.

They ground the track a few years ago so its very abrasive.  Goodyear also has shown they don't have a clue what they are doing at the moment.
