  1. That is completely irrelevant, but white is the best color. as you know, it reflects every color, thus allowing the player to remain cool. That's why if you have a black car in the summer, it gets hot, because it absorbs all the heat. Other than that, it looks good

  2. its a pure color

  3. Maybe its like tradition or something

  4. It is only required on Wimbledon. The rest depends on the brand they are endorsing.

  5. At the moment the Wimbledon tournament is the main attraction, and their dress code strictly allows only clothing that are predominately white. This is why you are probably seeing a lot of white. This is simply a tradition that has been followed for many generations ago. For any specific reason, its suppose to represent "purity" and tradition.  In any other tournament, there are no dress codes and it is simple based on what your sponsor supplies you with. If your Federer or Sharapova, you're going to be dressed pretty slick. If your Andy Roddick, you're always wearing white with a cap for some apparent reason no one knows. And if you are Andre Agassi, dress codes do not apply to you! xD

  6. im a tennis player and most of the stuff just comes in white.

but im not a professional player.

  7. It is only at Wimbledon that players wear all white- as that is the rules of the All-England club. If you watch other tournaments you will see a variety of colours worn.

  8. Also, traditionally, white is the required color by a lot of tourneys. I believe that Wimbleton requires that competitors wear white.

  9. white color reflects sun lights and you would feel less of the out door heat.

wearing dark colors would do just the opposite.

another reason, wearing white while playing tennis is cosmeticly a good choice as it visibly hide the body sweat.

  10. I think its just tradition at wimbledon to wear white maybe because its summer time in england...

i never see them wearing all white in any other tournament apart from wimbledon..

  11. Really?

    I don`t know that!

  12. White is the traditional colour for tennis attire and Wimbledon is the only tournament that enforces this. I personally think it is great as some of those outfits worn in other tournaments - yeeech!! Call me old fashioned if you will but they all look better wearing white outfits!! (Although I was partial to Marat wearing his green.....)
