Why are tennis skirts so short? How short/long is your skirt?

Question

Has anyone noticed how short tennis skirts are? Professional tennis players wear skirts right up to their butt or even show their butt, like in these pics:

At my tennis club skirts have got shorter in recent years so they're about the same? What are your tennis uniforms like? Do you wear a pleated skirt or a dress kind? Why do you think they're so revealing? Are you embarassed about how short they are or do you think professional players are? Do you think they will change in future? Thanks for reading.

its just because by playing tennis you get very hot very quickly  so you need the least amount of coverage possible soo your open too a breeze lol. when i play tennis i usually wear tight shorts with a nike shirt that sometimes matches it lol. and if i was too wear a short skirt it wouldnt bother me at all because i have a good body, and no i dont think that they will change in the future.

well,

i think there's are rule in tennis (as in like tennis  PRO tournaments etc) that your skirt can't go pass your knee... also  probably because they like a bit of a breeze around their privates? lol joking.

um i reckon, basically cos it's more comfortable :)

How are tennis players supposed to run with long skirts? Run, run - p**p! She will run across the tennis court crying and hide behind one of the audiences like a ninja, all shy and embarrassed to show herself after falling. See, people are very smart, they have thought up to this level and beyond, hence they ended up with making skirts short. Judging from the fact that you said, " Why do you think they're so _revealing_?", hints that you probably know the other reason.

Please try guessing how long my skirt is.

I guess the answer is the same as the previous 99 times you've asked this question. I suppose the real reason you're asking is so you can post those pictures. And I notice that you've posted larger pictures this time. I just want you to know that I appreciate it.

because you have to run and move around and its hard to when you have a longer skirt! but i dont wear my skirts super short like definetely far past my butt, i dont know how to explain how short it is but its not very short/tight. but also remember the skirts have shorts underneath to hold the tennis ball for the 2nd serve in the shorts.

not at all it will stay like this. Why dont you try to play tennis with a long skirt its very difficult when you need to make moves fast and run. Thats why they are short

I've seen some that aren't all that short. Serena wears skirts that are more like shirts, but Maria wears a good length. She looks hot too, come to think of it.
