Why are the Anti-War protesters in Denver wearing bandannas around their face?

I noticed many were wearing them on various news channels.

Is there a reason behind this?

Yes. They are all followers of Che. They are only anti war when the U.S. is fighting a war. They are all for war when they are helping terrorists muslims in albania during the yogoslavian war or when it helps people like Hugo Chavez in his fight against Columbia because Columbia is not a socialistic nation.

It's propaganda to justify locking up peaceful protesting Americans in those detention camps that they have set up (that drew a lot of bad publicity).

China had people dressed in black running around and breaking things (and focused cameras only on them) while peaceful protesters for human rights were in a different area and weren't covered by the media.  This gave the Chinese police the excuse to imprison peaceful protestors instead (they never did show what happened to those actors in black who actually damaged property).  This tactic was also used at the G8 protest in Germany (peaceful protestors themselves were hit and pushed to the ground by these people dressed in black who made a show out of burning cars) and we should look out for a lot more of this in the media for future protests!

If I recall correctly a bandanna dampened with water or maybe it was vinegar will lessen the effects if they are teargassed by the police.

There are protesters covering their face on TV

Anti - war demonstrators who might be police agents who are acting as agents of provocation - They will cause harm break the law or commit acts of violence to give the authorities the excuse to move in and break up the peaceful protest - they also appear in that fashion to scare the public and alienate them from whatever cause they "appear" to represent

They may be genuine protesters as well - frightened of identification by authorities and of being targeted for either arrest or harassment.

Free speech zones are in indicator of a society that is beginning to close down not an open one  

Media is owned by wealthy persons with political interests at stake

Do you trust them to report the "other" side accurately when it is in their best interest you are on "their" side and frightened by the opposition ?

If you believe we do in fact live in the age of disinformation and propaganda all that is known is that you were shown people covering their faces and were told that they were protesters against war - and that you were supposed to have an emotional reaction to that

Now tell me ..... how much of their platform and opinions were covered on that very same broadcast ? Were you told who what why and when or were you just shown terrorist looking people up to no good wandering your streets ?

Because of the threat of the cops using tear gas on them

It's been a while since I've had tear gas lobbed in my direction but if memory serves a damp bandanna will somewhat minimize the effects of CN But exacerbate the effects of CS tear gas

I noticed that too! I think they are all employed somewhere where their acts and behavior would be frowned upon. They are hypocrites (as we are all aware).
