Why are the BBC showing starving Ethiopian kids again when Ethiopia is conducting a full scale war in Somalia?

If they have the money to send aircraft and troops and tanks into Somalia, should they not be responsible for feeding their own starving kids?

this is the nature of man i am afraid, don't worry about the poor, the weak, the starving, lets just bomb the f uck out of our neighbours, sure must make them feel good. As to the BBC, its a news channel, what do you expect them to do, just report news that is all cheery and fun, remember is not always the poor  people who carry the weapons but the governments that buys and uses them.

I'm sure that the rich people live nearby in palace like homes while they starve. The King of the country probably has a private jet. I won't give any money because it'll go into the Swiss bank account of the sc.um in the government (just like Zimbabwe).

there all power hungry not food hungry they would rather fight then look after there people who are dieing. i think part of it could be to  draw attention to there situation so they get food sent over from the uk while they are both at war....

It is one of the unpleasant facts of life that countries like Ethiopia can wage war while her people starve. On a different scale the US wages an expensive war while there are poor people living hungry there.

Maybe the point you have raised is exactly the one the BBC is trying to make. People first war later.

of course they should be responsible but we dont run their country so sadly we have no power to force them to do this-sadly its not our business, akll we can do is keep the story alive in hope that they listen eventually

I'm 48,ever since I was a young teen,African nations,India and Bangladesh,have always been in trouble with starvation.Until the people start helping themselves,any aid we send will be futile.

Its a scam, they need gas money to fuel the aircrafts and tanks and feed their troops and not the kids.
