Why are the Cricket Crazy nations are big Olympic Zero?

Don't include Australia because Australia gives importance to all sports.England is football mad nation. I mean the rest of the Cricketing nations.

india doesn't focus on any olympic sport.  Government doesn't provide funds or facilities.  running and archery can be done cheaply, so india participates in them.  Besides i don't even care abt olympics, it has stupidest sports ever created.

Because India pays attention in only one game, and they are master in it. You have heard that proverb, "Jack of all trades are master of none". See Australia, their cricket team is no doubt strong but India proved them wrong by winning the 3Mobile One Day Series in Australia by 2-0. They are so so in football and rugby. In rugby, only few countries play and Australia just has a position in it, just like Bangladesh in cricket. Not too great. India is single aimed at cricket and will certainly be the WC winner of 2011.

The main reason for India's loss in Olympics are the poverty stricken people and inappropriate conditions. We have 50 times the population of Australia, still no talent. Why?? It's simply because of them. They don't want to work. Some of them do. People who want to participate in events like shooting aren't getting arrows and bows, or rifles. They have fire in themselves to prove themselves but the gym and playing centers conditions are just unthinkable.. Even the poor people aren't given free training. Whenever the government gives these sports people money to improve their centres and gymnasiums, they take it in their pockets as "below the table earnings" and refuse to hear what the people say.

All other top 8 teams except Asian teams have performed well at Olympics.South Africa and New Zealand have 20 to 30 gold medals which is quite good.West Indies have lot of gold medals.The biggest running race of Olympics feature 2 great world record holders - Asafa Powell and Usain Bolt.They both are from Jamaica (West Indies).Of Asian teams,India is better but they are way below Olympic standards.

Last time I checked, Australia are one of only two nations to ever win two rugby world cups, and are consistently ranked in the top 3 nations. As for only "a few countries play" -  you obviously have no idea, do you? Go do some research and discover just how WRONG you are!!!

As for football,  we made it to the quarter finals of the last world cup, only to be robbed by the cheating, diving italians who then went on to win the title. Australia's top players all have overseas contracts with major British and European clubs.

Suggest you check your facts before posting a load of rubbish in future.

Because they thing ZERO has a value if only one player plays very well. For eg: 1000000000   this make a lot than 00000000   coz 1 is there in front of it to increase the over all value to win the game.
