If someone in the Republican party had said this, they would have interrupted programming on NBC.

Hurricane Fay was devastating Florida, causing the death of several people and hundreds of millions of dollars in damage but Obama was busy, making sure that his shirt and tie didn’t clash with the carpeting at the coliseum. In Louisiana, Governor Jindhal and his bipartisan team sat down with officials from FEMA, state and local emergency disaster boards, working out evacuation routes, gas, food and water stations along the routes, and transportation and shelter for those without. Obama did…nothing!

  1. Was there something Obama needed to do that those in jobs with the Floirda/federal government hadn't taken care of?  Are you saying they are that incompetent?

  2. People won't be watching the Republican Conventions.. they will be watching the hurricane.

  3. McCain is on his way to Mississippi right now and Obama is chewing his nails wondering how he can stop Palin from stealing his thunder.

  4. You can actually here him say, "I guess this proves that God is on our(democrats) side."

Yes, if a Republican were to say that, it would blanket the mainstream media for the rest of the week, if not year.

  5. Because they are trying to insinuate that God is against the Republicans. What a crock. A hurricane is a devastating, but natural, occurrence. I have endured three in the last four years. They really are quite juvenile when they make statements like that.

Obama supporters are one of the big reasons I was so turned off to Obama. They are the ones who turned me against him right from the start.

It's really sad when they try to turn such a tragic event into a good spin for their candidate.

  6. i think instead of talking about all this c**p on the hurricane, we should be worrying about the people who are being  affected by this. the GOP convention isnt being hit by this storm. REGULAR people are! lets focus our attention to the people who are going to be displaced by this monster.

  7. Obama is the Senator from Illinois....wtf is he supposed to do?   The same goes for McCain.   If either of them pretend to be doing something about this, it's making a impending disaster political.

Republicans are reeling about this cause of the gross negligence and/or shear incompetence of the Bush administration in 2005.

This hurricane does come at a bad time for Republicans, cause it reminds everyone of what horrible leadership we have had for the last 8 years.

  8. The party of the people-laughing at the fact that people are being evacuated and will lose their homes again. They are just sickos

God doesn't do politics and he didn't create a hurricane to make the Dems happy.

    Bunch of sickos

  9. They are preparing some new tirades against the Bush administration so their fellow bro's in New Orleans can continue to collect.

  10. Because they think obama is god and this is the second coming, a bunch of idiots that can't see their own noses on their faces.
