Why are the Global Warming people yelling about...?

Hurricane Fey's rainfall when last week they were yelling about the drought in Fla and Ga?.....Wont they ever be happy?

Guys, you can't lie to yourselves anymore. I know no one wants to believe that they should cut back on great things like electronics and huge cars, but it's really not that bad!

You can still have your TVs and Computers. We can cover them with renewable sources. And do you really need 4 by 4s? Why not take the bus?

Tackling it isn't as scary as you fear. It's real people. Having faith in Jesus won't save your great grandchildren.

Global warming isn't real....at least not Al Gore's global warming.  Al Gore doesn't even believe his theory....Don't you think he would be scared to death, and not be flying around in a jet(that is definately not fuel efficient) and driving a hummer(a big time guzzler), if he believed his own theory?

Global warming is very real. And just for good measure - both the North Pole and the South Pole are melting. The South Pole is not freezing up. In fact many of the species that have depended on the ice cap on the South Pole are in danger of extinction because of Global Warming.

The Ozone layer has been damaged by HCF's (flurocarbons) and this is causing the sun's rays to have a more damaging effect on many species and destroying others. It is also placing marine life in danger. We are getting more intense tropical monsoons and typhoons in the South Pacific and East Asia. This has resulted in alternation between huge floods in mainland China, Japan and Australia and10 year droughts in Australia and huge bush fires in Australia and California.

These extremes in temperature and climatic activity are all the product of global warming. We are losing species as a result. Over 2000 of the world's leading scientists have reaffirmed this at the last meeting of the Kyoto nations in December 2007. There is need for all industrialised nations and developing nations to reduce their emisions from fossil fuel e.g. petrol and coal and increase the use of environmentally friendly technology.

This includes the use of biodiesel, solar power, wind power and thermogoelogical power  from underground hotrocks. This should be added to the increased use of public transport and bicycles - don't laugh - bicycles are mandatory in some European cities to reduce pollution from petrol.

We also need to recycle furniture, paper and all items that are made from mined minerals. These are all finite products and we cannot go on using the products of the earth indefinitely and expect it to just be there for us. There are over 6 billion people on the earth now. There will probably be 9m billion by 2050.  We need to reasses our use of the finite resources on this planet.

Our processing of these resources is increasing global warming. We need to reduce this activity in order to reduce global warming. This is an entirely different look to what is posted above, I know. It is worth noting that many people do choose to use preloved items rather than further contribute to the destruction of our rain forests by buying new furniture for example.

We need to gather all the run - off from farms and septics so that the phosphates and other chemical do not go into the sea. These chemicals are killing our sea life as is the excessive plastic waste that goes down our water ways and the unmonitored fishing that is destroying our fish stocks. This all contributes to global warming through an unbalance of the environment.

This is all food for thought.

they constantly ignore leading scientist's that say its all a bunch of hoohah...why should they be happy about the rain everybody needs and have been praying for?I look for algore to condemn it pretty soon while he is hawking Carbon Credits to the residents of the Orange Belt

They point out the melting ice caps at the North Pole - and conveniently leave out the thickening ice caps at the South Pole.

They do the same routine with rainfall and droughts - if it supports their agenda, it's newsworthy, if not, it's just an anomaly.

Michigan has had the coolest summer in many, many years. Must be global warming. Call Michael Moore. There is a movie in this. A great tidal wave is moving across Lake Michigan, and we will all be drowned.  The sky will fall, and my mother-in law won't be able to come to dinner tomorrow. On second thought, this doesn't sound so bad.

The worlds average temperature hasn't risen since 1998, but luckily the global warming alarmists had an ace up their sleeve. They now call it Climate Change. Fairly broad reaching title for doom and gloom pedallers don't you think?

This is the only state that has one ocean, one gulf, 30,000 lakes, is half swamp, and is convinced there's a drought. GW, how much hotter can it get.
