Why are the Jonas Brothers famous?

It's completely obvious that they have no talent. There are somehow drums in the background yet none of the Jonases are playing drums? In fact, the only chords they play on their guitars are power chords or random chords that from my observation (I'm a guitarist) don't even exist. The actual instrumentalists are as follows (according to Wikipedia):

John Taylor - Lead guitar

Greg Garbowsky - Bass guitar

Jack Lawless - Drums and percussion

Ryan Liestman - Keyboards

The vocals are absolutely TERRIBLE. They're squeaky and annoying. I just don't understand how a band like this can be of such great magnitude and actually be compared to real bands like THE BEATLES. If they were a real band, why would they need other people to play their instruments? And be promoted by DISNEY? Why are these children famous!?

Although they do have a band, they do play guitars. Nick plays the drums and the piano too. I went to their concert and they played a bunch of instruments. They have awesome vocals.

As much as I understand you,your question should definitely be a rhetorical one mostly.Talent is not(never was) a necessity for popularity.Popularity is what appeals to the masses,and most people are lazy and couldn't care less about exploring music,art and the world in general!They want something that's pleasant and easily consumed.

I know, it's disgusting that they don't even play their own instruments, and the only work they do is whine into the mic.
