Why are the McCanns trying to discredit the police when it was Kate & Gerry who lost the child in the first ..

.....place, the police simply tried to help them find the child that they had lost as did the Portuguese people.

So why are they trying to discredit them by releasing t*t bits to the press that is so one sided even a child can see through it.

Shouldn't they be thanking them for their help in this case.

The police could have easily charged them with neglect but they chose not to.

Is it not irresponsible & dare i say it childish to blame others for your mistakes ? :)

They weren't charged with neglect because it wasn't willfull.

They didn't lose her some monster stole her.Why do you never berate the abductor?

All part of their continuing campain of "smoke and mirrors" of not wanting to accept any responsibility for their own failings. If they had not failed her by leaving her alone in a strange apartment in a strange country to go drinking with their "friends" she would not be missing and probably dead and we would never have heard or the poor girl.

They act like victims in pointing fingers at others who were and still are trying to establish the truth , when in fact they the parents , by leaving her and their other children alone and in danger, are the cause of this whole sad case.

The McCanns from day one have NEVER EVER  taken responsibility for leaving their kids alone and they should have. People would have been more acceptable of them if they had stood up and said "we made a grave error which will haunt us for the rest of our lives" but they didn't! I found this incredible.

They have always tried to blame other around them (Murat, police, the security of the complex,) but NEVER NO NEVER themselves.

The police I am sure wanted to find Maddie as much as anyone else, but failed to do so (up till now). They may have made mistakes too in the high media spotlight, but how many other police forces and forensic teams do the same every day. (OJ Simpson forensics springs to mind) This was a huge case in a small place, too overwhelming for the police, but I dont think they deserve to be slated by people including the McCanns after all people in glass houses...........

It has always been a very careful tactic that the McCanns and Mitchell have taken in discrediting or accusing all around them, but they are to blame and only them for Maddie not being at home today!!!

Maddy was supposedly the  "most precious thing" in their lives - (laugh) - I certainly wouldn't leave something precious alone in a strange place - and I certainly wouldn't have left any children. !!! - How many times are we told not to leave our cameras, money or jewelery in an hotel room??

It's always easier to blame someone else for ones mistakes, and a lot easier when it's a BIG mistake.

It's their own fault their child is missing and theirs alone, it's about time THEY took responsibility for their selfish actions.

What amazes me is the fact that all of a sudden Kate can't keep her mouth closed on the matter, even she must know all the case notes can't provide a link Maddie's whereabouts so the relentless attacks on the Portuguese police do nothing to help the case...

Whilst the police were investigating an ALLEGED abduction Kate and Gerry were hopping around the world highlighting their plight instead of actively searching for THEIR daughter....Muppet's of the highest order.

The McCanns took time out simply to collaborate their stories.....(My-view)

Someone took her, and no, it isn't childish to blame experts (as we believe the police are) for their failings.

Edit:  Losing isn't the same as stealing ie abducting.  To "lose" a child means that there was no malice involved - to steal one is a crime.

As for the police yes most of them probably are normal caring people except their original boss who in my opinion should never have been allowed near the McCanns Take a look at the anti McCanns hero who all want to buy his book who now is facing charges for covering up the torture of a woman in custody, negligence and perjury What a hero !!

Actually the authorities do know what happened, the UK government are clearly involved and the pj said ages ago that the disaperance must have been done with a yatch, it's more about diplomatic relations and proveing it in a court

If I left small children alone in a house, for whatever reason, and one disappeared, I would KNOW that I was primarily responsible for whatever happened to them.  You can blame others for their shortcomings, but the major blame and responsibility would rest with me.  

There really does not seem to be any real proof that the little girl was actually abducted.  She could very easily have wandered off, and I feel that Messrs. McCanns insistence that "she was abducted" has probably deflected the search from other areas, which is not good.  

I do not know where all this upsurge in information is coming from at the moment.  Journalists were also given DVD's of the files.  However it would be par for the course if the Messrs. McCanns did everything in their power to discredit the Portugese Police rather than concentrate on looking for any information in the files that might point them in the right direction.

The McCanns know exactly where Maddy is and have done from day one and this blaming the PJ is just a continuation of the way these evil people have been working from day one,diverting attention away from themselves and on to someone else in order the make themselves look innocent and keep up the abduction theory. Kate refused to answer 48 Qs yet she had the audacity to write that letter to the police chief asking to be kept informed of the investigation and saying they would do anything to help the PJ . More lies.

Everyday they continue to trawl through the files and pick out the bits which suit them .What about the cadaver dogs,the back tracking on the DNA results by the FSS, the nobbling of the Irish witness,the "link" to Q 41 possible to do with the McCanns wanting Maddy to be adopted by a family member in 2006 ,the unhealthy chatter between Gerry and D, Payne..... the list goes on.Why don't the McCanns bring these things to the notice of the media ?? Instead they would rather continue with some dead end charade in Holland looking for some child whom the PJ have already investigated when it was brought to their attention and dismissed it as irrelevant. The next thing will be more "fund" raising on the pretext that they need it to search for Maddy.
