  1. Underperformance and inconsistency.  It sounds simplistic, but it is true.  Excuses such as the coaching change are mumbo jumbo.  The MLB is a professional baseball league.  Coaching changes should not faze extremely well-paid professionals.  I am a die-hard Yankee fan, but there is no excuse for the slow start and recent struggles other than underperformance.  Just look at the Rays and Twins.  They spend much less money than the Mets and Yankees and are both RED HOT.

  2. The incosistancy of the team and the lack of desire to win. Why is it like this? Teams with this kind of baseball talent, witts, IQ, and market should not be underperforming. So, is mostly that desire to win. How can a team with the likes of Wright, Beltran, Reyes, Santana, Wagner, Church, and Delgado be underperforming. Incosistant play, and other than two in the list (Wright, Church) who has the desire to win. Now for the Yankees they are struggling because of their pathetic starting pitching. It is that simple for them. And the reason the Yankees are not going to make the post season is because of the strength of their division. Lastly, going back to the Mets, the Mets haven't hit their stride yet. P.S I'm a Met fan, and it's been a rollercoaster ride, that is getting nauseating by the second.

  3. because the mets just got a new coach in the middle of the season and its like really awkward. They also have to like adjust to him which is hard when u have to practise for games

  4. idk but its sad. my yankees are doing ok i guess
