  1. San Diego doesn't want to pay Greg's salary to pitch for the Dodgers.

If Colletti is involved in anyway with this deal, the Dodgers should just forget it.

All Colletti deals usually blow up in his face.

Besides, Greg should retire now. At best, he is a five inning and give up at least, 4 runs per outing, pitcher.

PS. I am a lifelong fan of Greg Maddux and It hurts me to watch him descend into mediocrity.

  2. idk about you but from watching baseball ive learned that you dont trade a good player to a division rival during a playoff race..that kinda seems why to me. i know as a dodger fan you must be pushing for this deal but of course the Padres are going to hesitate since Maddux only wants to stay on the West Coast..it would not be smart to trade him away unless they get some good prospects from the Dodgers

  3. It's officially dead, primarily because the Dodgers are offering c**p because they know there are no other takers.

  4. Greg Maddux will be back for his 23rd season, agreeing on Monday with the San Diego Padres on a $10 million, one-year contract, a source told ESPN The Magazine's Buster Olney.
