  1. Because you have "different" versions of being a good driver.  American drivers tend to be very "rules" oriented.  That way they don't get sued.  However, unfortunately (sorry, guys, it's true), they generally don't have a great idea of what is going on all around them in traffic - because they *expect* that the people around them will follow the rules.

In the latin countries, people just don't tend to follow the road rules.  Hence, they need to be "better" that is, more observant, drivers to make sure they don't kill the motorcyclist on the wrong side of the road, or the guy driving in the middle of 2 cars to "make" a 3rd lane, or take out the person ignoring the red light.

It all depends what you're learning to do when you drive.

    Hope that helps.

  2. You should come to Buenos aires, Argentina or even to Sao Paulo , Brazil, to experience what terrible drivers are! (I myself am from Argentina, so I know)

  3. u haven't seen the greek drivers yet. i myself am greek.....

  4. The "toughest"?? Are you crazy, dude? Tests are more easy in France or in Italy as tests here. Also, Spaniards(almost like an 80%) drives awful. The difficult part for them is the practical. I get it easily.

  5. Because the drivers are Romanian emigrant.
