Why are the Texan and Chilean flags identical?

  1. Hello!

    1.- Are not exactly identicals (the persons before me said it better).

    2.- The Chilean flag was created in 10/18/1817. The Texas one is from 1839.

    3.- The Chilean is inspired in the U.S. flag (in the form), as the U.S. is inspired in the France flag (atlist in the colors).

    In conclusion, I think that the "similitud" is just a coincidence.

  4. The blue on the Texas flag goes top to bottom, and the star is centered on it.  On the Chilean flag, the blue is only in the upper left corner, with the star in the center of that.

  5. It's easy and funny, some body told me that the Texas flag is new, more than Chile flag, and is cause the designer of texas flag was in Chile before of the designe, and that is the influence in that guy to design something similar.
