  1. There could be two reasons for this:

    1. You aren't living in the US.

I know. It's a real bummer. If you don't live in the country of the video source, you'll unfortunately experience such difficulties. Broadcasting rights have to purchased from the International Olympic Committee, which has put a damper on some person's ability to access Olympic footage.

You could try downloading video from torrent sites such as http://www.mininova.org/ or http://www.torrentz.com/ Just type the subject of interest in the search field provided.

    2. You live in the US, but haven't downloaded the required plugin (re NBC internet videos).

I must say, the plugin really isn't bad. It's from Microsoft and is pretty legit. I downloaded the plugin through Internet Explorer (note: I wasn't able to do so using Firefox) and the videos worked perfectly. Additionally, the video quality is very good. Perhaps downloading it might improve your ability to actually view the footage. I too tried viewing it without the plugin and wasn't successful.

    Hope this helps :).
