Question:

Why are the Williams sisters so jealous of Federer?

They have started complaining again. They want to play on Centre Court all the time. I think they need to realize that people come to see Federer and Nadal play, not the Williams sisters. What do you people think?

  1. I don't know about jealousy or anything else.  All I know is that these sisters are two of the ugliest women on television.  We would all be better off not having to look at them so much. These girls are fugly!!!!!

  2. yes, because they have what federer didn't have...the ugly face.. :P

  3. they think they r best and deserve everything

  4. All they ever do is complain.  The Williams attitude, especially Serena is a disgrace to the game.  They are professional tennis players who have made millions of dollars, and yet they complain that there not on centre court?  Maybe they should realize that they are not even close to the biggest draw at wimbledon.  These two show the worst sportsmanship in tennis constantly.

  5. They like to complain a lot. They should realize that even though they had won the tournament before, they are not ranked in the top 5 anymore.

  6. I don't think it has anything to do with being jealous of Federer, rather the higher level players generally play in the stadium courts.  Venus is the reigning women's champion and would prefer to play in a larger setting, not just seating but also in terms of area around the court.

They were making the point that Roger, being the reigning men's champion has not been asked to play anything other then center court.  They are using him as the comparison between two former champions.

In actuality, they are very good friends with Roger.

  7. You have to admit that the defending champion, on both sides, should play more matches on center court. Is it fair to favor Federer over Venus? No! They both are defending champions, so they should be treated as such.

  8. wow, you made it seem like they were practically screeching about it. they weren't complaining THAT much, and why the h**l would they be jealous of federer? serena even said that she would be surprised/wouldn't expect a player like federer to be placed in a court like court 2. they just said that venus should have been able to play on a larger court (not necessarily meaning the centre court), that's all.

  9. It was not directed towards Federer, but rather the organizers at Wimbledon for scheduling 2 former champions on court 2 for yet another day, in a meaningful match. Playing on that court in the beginning, round one or two, is one thing, but certainly not into the deeper rounds. They should have either changed it up a bit, putting players who havent been on there as yet, or the doubles. Not 4th round matches, when only 16 ( 32) players left. They felt it was disrespectful, and I happen to agree. As usual though, there tennis speaks for itself and won their match without allowing the scheduling effect them.
