  1. > "Why are the atheistic lies of science becoming increasingly accepted?"

    Lies like what, exactly?

    > "Scientists are nearly all atheists"

Untrue. About 40% of all scientists in the US believe in a personal God of some sort.

    > "and god isn't even factored into their theories."

This is because you cannot scientifically investigate God.

God, if He exists, is outside the normal, physical rules of the universe; He created those rules, and He can violate or bypass them whenever and however He pleases (otherwise He's not omnipotent). Since science can *only* use those rules to perform its investigations, it therefore cannot investigate God.

And therefore, as soon as you bring God into the explanation, you have stopped any further possible exploration.

For example, if I asked "Why do people get smallpox?", and the answer was "Because God does it.", then we'd never have experimented, discovered that the Variola virus causes smallpox, and developed a vaccine that prevents it.

    > "but they cant disprove god"

Of course not - for the reasons outlined above (He is not open to scientific investigation), and because it is a logical impossiblilty to prove that something does not exist.

And, whatever you might believe, science is *not* trying to disprove God.

    > "look at all the bad things science has done to black people and spaniards"

    ???

    Like what, exactly?

Like developing a treatment regime to alleviate sickle-cell anemia (which predominantly affects black people and hispanics)? How *dare* scientists do such a thing?

    > "your beliefs are based on hatred of truth and god."

    No.

Science is not based on belief, it is based on evidence.

If there is no evidence for something, then science does not - cannot - accept that it exists. However, as soon as evidence exists that something *is* true, then science incorporates it into the ongoing model of the universe it is constructing.

Faith and religion are based on belief. They don't have to be based on hatred of anything, but - sadly - they often are. You only need to see the crusades, the inquisition, and religious extremism terrorism of all sorts to see that.

  2. "Scientists are nearly all atheists and god isn't even factored into their theories."

False - 40% of the American Association of the Advancement of Science believe in a personal god.

    "but they cant disprove god"

We can't disprove unicorns or fairies either.  Who cares.  It's up to you to PROVE god, not me to DISPROVE god.  It's impossible to disprove things, it's up to the person making the positive claim to provide proof, and you're making the positive claim that god exists, so you either need to provide proof of that or I'll continue to throw you in the same category as people who believe in fairies.

"look at all the bad things science has done"

Look at all the good things science has done.  All of modern medicine and agriculture.  Without science we would still be living in the woods as hunter-gatherers.  Science is not good or bad, it's a tool, and just like any tool it's up to the user to put it to good use.

Look at all the bad things religion has done.  The crusades.  The inquisition.  Recently, med clinic bombings, assassinations, terrorist attacks.  If you want to invalidate science just because of people who have put it to bad use then you have to invalidate religion too.

    "to black people and spaniards"

What the h**l are you talking about?

"tell me which one is real"

    Define real.

The only useful definition of 'real' that I know of is something that can be empirically measured.  That's science.  Religion is the opposite, it's complete lack of anything objective and empirical is why it requires faith.  Faith means believing in something for no good reason.

"your beliefs are based on hatred of truth and god."

My beliefs are based on love of truth.  I ask questions about the universe and follow the most logical, direct answers.

It's not even possible for me to hate god.  I don't think he exists.  I can't hate things that don't exist.

Not to mention, virtually all of the historic scientists who made the discoveries which brought us to what we know today were made by devoutly religious men.

The religious people are lying to you when they tell you science is atheistic, that should be obvious.  What else are they lying to you about?

  3. Science deals with truth that can be proven, so you are quite wrong here. There is no proof that any gods exist. God is not in any scientific theories, but neither are Brahma the Hindu creator god, Marduk the Babylonian creator god, Ma Lo Wong the Chinese monkey god, etc. You are the one filled with hate here. You hate anyone who disagrees with you and perhaps makes you doubt what you want to believe. What is real to you is not real to logical men. Science does not try to disprove gods, unicorns, fairies, etc.

  4. In all of your rant, there are two bits of truth. "god [sic] isn't even factored into their theories" and "they can't disprove god [sic]. We can't disprove the existance of the flying spaghetti monster of the Pacific Tree Octopus either. However, we work on the basis of the simplest explanation that explains all the observations. God is not needed and would complicate theories immensely. Therefore, when I step on a nail, I don't pray that I won't get tetanus, I get an antitetanus shot.

"All the bad things done to black people and spaniards [sic]"? You mean things like the Inquisition, the Crusades, the St Bartholomew's Day massacre, and slavery? Oh, wait, those were good Christians who came up with those ideas.

Scientists are perpetually in search of truth, as opposed to taking the word of someone who simply claims to know it. They certainly do not hate it or modify it to fit their political agendas. Scientists do not hate God either. We do worse, we ignore him (or her).

  5. 10I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought. 11My brothers, some from Chloe's household have informed me that there are quarrels among you. 12What I mean is this: One of you says, "I follow Paul"; another, "I follow Apollos"; another, "I follow Cephas[a]"; still another, "I follow Christ."

13Is Christ divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Were you baptized into[b] the name of Paul? 14I am thankful that I did not baptize any of you except Crispus and Gaius, 15so no one can say that you were baptized into my name. 16(Yes, I also baptized the household of Stephanas; beyond that, I don't remember if I baptized anyone else.) 17For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel—not with words of human wisdom, lest the cross of Christ be emptied of its power.

Christ the Wisdom and Power of God

18For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God. 19For it is written:

       "I will destroy the wisdom of the wise;

the intelligence of the intelligent I will frustrate."[c]

20Where is the wise man? Where is the scholar? Where is the philosopher of this age? Has not God made foolish the wisdom of the world? 21For since in the wisdom of God the world through its wisdom did not know him, God was pleased through the foolishness of what was preached to save those who believe. 22Jews demand miraculous signs and Greeks look for wisdom, 23but we preach Christ crucified: a stumbling block to Jews and foolishness to Gentiles, 24but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25For the foolishness of God is wiser than man's wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than man's strength.

26Brothers, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. 27But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28He chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, 29so that no one may boast before him. 30It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. 31Therefore, as it is written: "Let him who boasts boast in the Lord."[d]

  6. Science is not about TRUTH. Science is about FACT and about REASONING. Taken properly, science and religion need not conflict. Science only aims to explain the physical world. It is not true that nearly all scientists are atheists. In fact, any religious person can become a scientist, as long as they are willing to accept this: that religion should treat spirituality and morality, and instill in us healthy attitudes towards each other, rather than to tell us facts about the physical world. Science does not do bad things to people. The government, through poor use of scientific fact, does these bad things. This is where religion comes in: for some of us, it is necessary in order to provide us with a reason to behave morally.

You may be surprised to know that Charles Darwin, a person whose name has, for some, become synonomous with Satan or the Antichrist, was devoutly religious, and did not publish his theories until many years after he first thought of them, because he was trying desperately to reconcile them with his religious views.

Scientists are intelligent people, and most are great thinkers. If anything, they tolerate religion more than ordinary atheists.

Now, look at evolution: there is an irrefutably large body of evidence to support it. Some people would claim that the strange fossils we find are of antediluvian organisms (before the Biblical flood). However, radio-carbon dating techniques show that they are much older than the Bible allows. These people then claim that the technique is inaccurate. This actually amounts to the idea that God would bend the laws of physics just so that He could fool us into believing a theory which contradicts His "truth". If your God is omnibenevolent, He would not deliberately leave evidence that would sway us from His path just so that He could condemn us to h**l.

Now, I suggest that you repost this question in R & S. Because most people who read this section are scientifically-minded people, and are therefore unlikely to sympathesize with somebody who hates science. People in R & S are much more likely to understand where you're coming from.
