  1. they dont want wasted people $hitting and throwing up everywhere

  2. This is to prevent people from doing things like:

    Doing drugs in there

Committing rapes or other violent crimes in there

    Living in there

You're less likely to use the facility for illegal purposes if you have to ask for a key

  3. No, it's so we don't have to clean up after the perverts who use them and trash them. It also prevents theft.

We had a large event in town and a big group broke into our bathroom. Luckily it was relatively unharmed, except when we got our water bill the next month and it was $50 more than usual. They also went through 9 rolls of toilet paper IN ONE NIGHT!!! I think they must have let the entire town use our toilet (since the sink didn't work).

  4. To deter non-customers from using and de-facing them.

  5. I worked in a gas station the had an occasional problem.

We started checking the bathroom after almost every user.  After a few months, we finally figured out that it was one woman, probably mid-thirties, usually dressed in a business suit.

The problem, you ask?  She was taking a dump on the floor, then picking it up and throwing it on to the ceiling.  We never found out why...nobody admitted knowing her.  Once we were sure, some of the guys waited a while after she arrived, then blocked the door and turned on the sprinkler and let that run a while before letting her out.

    Never saw her again.

  6. Hey, I like your question and your answer.  Because if the bathrooms are too clean they might actually attract people who will use it. That would really be intolerable. Yikes!

  7. Well, actually no.  I've always assumed it's so some pervert can't hide out in there and attack some little kid or a woman.  Actually, if at all possible, I avoid using restrooms in gas stations.  While restrooms in fast-food places are not always sparkling with cleanliness, they are a better alternative and there are usually people around so it's less scary.

  8. hahaha. I guess it depends on where you live. who knows what could go on in those things

  9. Vandalism.  Drug use.  Refusing to come out.
