Question:

Why are the birds not eating the nuts?

I've put up a new nut holder on one of the trees in my garden. Not one single bird has been near it. They were flocking to the old one, why are they not interested in the new one?

  1. I had a similar problem.  I think it was probably to do with the nuts, once they were changed the birds tucked in.  Get to your pet strore and buy some new ones.

  2. Sometimes you feel like a nut, sometimes you don't.

  3. try rice...... birds love rice

  4. The squirrels told them it was a trap :-)

Plenty of food around at the moment so they're probably being fussy.

  5. Too used to the old one, remove that and see if that works, if not put the old one back as you don't want to deprive them.

  6. If you still have to old one..put it back next to the new one.  Birds get fussy about new things.
