Why are the cards pushing wainwright back to the bullpen?

when hes been the cards best starter for the last two seasons.

  1. Because the Cards have a pretty good rotation and he hasnt pitched in a while you cant just throw him back out there and expect him to go 7 innings.

  3. the cardinals bullpen is in shambles right now and wainwright has experience as a setup-man/closer. plus getting carpenter back makes it a little easier to not push him back to being a starter right away. so it actually makes alot of sense to get a quality reliever to add to the struggling bullpen.

  4. becuz izzy has been blowin to manny saves so wainwright will be a closer for the rest of the season becuz we have carp back and becuz wainwright was so domenint in the 2006 world series so next the cards will get a new closer and wainwright will be in the rotation again
