Isn't that illegal? The cars are coming at you on the right side of the road, and the cars are going with you on the left side in Moonview highway! Why?

In Japan it is driving on the left. Most Island countries and Commonwealth countries drive on left.   67% of world population wise drives on the right, and that includes India with a billion who drive on left

  2. Mr. Schnoz, Mario Kart Wii is my brother's favorite game.

  3. the nintendo company is based in Japan, and Most games are Made in Europe, where people drive on the left side of the road. Don't let it get to you though.

  4. Because people in Japan drive on the left side of the road. This occurs in many other countries around the world.

Because Mario Kart Wii was made in Japan, the designers programmed it to "be accepted" by most of the world. Most countries in the world drive on the left so Japan made it to suit most of the world instead of the few countries that drive on the right side of the road.

  5. Japan is one of few countries that still drive on the left side of the road, like Australia and Great Britain. I suppose there's really no point in changing it for the North American release. :)
