we were driving in arizona and saw this really cool van called Toyota Hiace. And I wanted to see where the license plate was from and I saw that it was from mexico and it was bought from some dealer called toyota of mazatlan. So I am wondering if they could sell that car in mexico then why dont they sell it here. I would really want a van like that

  1. There are really cool cars everywhere and not all cars available here are available in other places.  Europe also has a ton of cool, efficient cars that we will never see here.

  2. Cars are designed to cater for the countries they are most likely to be used in. I read a quite interesting column about a car that had to be redesigned for the american market due to its lack of cup holders.

  3. That is soo true, I went to South Africa and my sister in law had a Toyota that had seating capacity for 7, it was almost exactly like a Matrix but it was called something else and I saw tons of neat family friendly, eco friendly cars there. Here, if you can't afford a newer car and you have a larger family, you get screwed, it's frustrating.
