That's not true if you knew how to find facts and back it up with a source other than your own opinion. McCain's choice was reckless and calculated. He thought he was picking a home run but failed to Vet her by choosing her with one phone call and one interview. She is NOT, I repeat Not, going to attract Women voters simply because she is against the right to choose and g*y voters and families of g**s because she is anti g*y , Period. She has NO practical experience with Governing anything but the Alaskan budget and raising kids. Never been out of this country or dealt wit one foreign affair. You people are putting an artificial and very nervous smile and using your ever popular < *cover the ears and yell La la la la la so common sense doesn't get in the way of a completely bizzair idea.

For many people it has not been about age or gender.   There are still a remarkable majority of us out there who actually vote upon policy, and dislike both candidates for that very reason.

The Democrats are scrambling. I think they probably regret not nominating Hillary w/ Obama as a VP, but I still think they would have lost. When you have nothing that you can say to make yourself look good, you start bashing on the other guys, regardless of how hypocritical it makes you look.

Edit: The area of ANWAR that drilling would take place is like a spec on the map of Alaska. It would reduce or dependence on foreign oil. It would drop gas prices. It would not effect the environment negatively, and even if it did, noone lives there so who cares? I'd much rather not go poor trying to drive my kids to school then save a few birds.
