Okay so I have hd with comcast and all of my hd channels work fine but the digital channels are stretched. Is there any way I can fix this and if not comcast sucks.

  1. There are 2  ASPECT ratio controls involved....the first is the Comcast Cable box's aspect ratio buttons IN THE MENU...

Look for the Video Icon in the menu and access it...

Set the HD channels to 16:9 and the Digital  /SD / 4:3  channels to Stretched....

Then on your TV's remote set it to Full / Standard on 16:9 -HD and Full -Stretched on SD shows....

In most cases, on TV sets, you have to actually be viewing an HD station and then an SD station to change the respective aspect ratios....

  2. The setting in your tv menu is probably set to "wide" or maybe "wide zoom".  You can change this (most likely) with a button on your tv remote.  It will stretch again, each time you change DT channels unless you change the default  to 4:3  in the menu.
