  1. The choice is between the lesser of two evils.

    1)  The Soviets who conquered or "freed" many of  them only to lead to another even more evil govt controlling them.

    2) Country(s) who despite ignoring their civil rights needs (USSR AND US ) allowed a country (USSR) to control them because it allowed free enterprise to control and dominate them.

  2. What are you talking about when you say "Allies"?

They were captured and held for years by the Communists as were most, if not all of Russia's neighbors.

Russians were and in many places, still are the most hated, tyrannical country in the world!

  3. They dont like Russia, They serve as agents for us near Russia, they are willing to sell themselves for American diplomat points etc.  We dont need trustworthy allies, but just allies in general.  Look at the people we are dealing with, Pakistan and India (wow we will align ourselves with both of them despite their mutual hatred and desires to just nuke eachother).  We align ourselves with Saudi Arabia- who just wants the U.S. dollars and weapons, we will align our selves with Columbia, who has been historically corrupt and is the enemy of a number of neighbors.  List is endless.

  4. At the most, they were Russia's neighbours, invaded by the Red Army, their leaders removed and replaced with Communists, all opposition and rebels killed by the secret police and practically forced into the Eastern Bloc.

I don't think they'll like Russia much anymore.
