Why are the girls always asking what the GUYS like?

It's like all of these girls are doing everything only to impress the BOYS. I was never like that when I was a kid... and neither were my friends. I guess I just don't get it, low self esteem or something? I never thought that I had to do certain things just to attract the opposite s*x. If you just be yourself you'll find someone that matches with you on a real level not on an "I look the way these boys want me to look" level. I am (and always have been) into fashion and makeup to look my best for me and because it's fun, I really don't get why you would do everything you could just to try to impress a boy by the way you look.

I tried once to impress a guy when I was younger. I started wearin make up,I changed my clothes, lost a bunch of weight.And he still didnt notice me so I figured it was a waste of time.I dont try to impress guys anymore.I dont see why any girl would. But if a guy says he likes something on me I wear it out big time.I agree with you about girls bein themselves.I think girls these days care too much about their looks and have low self esteem.Its hard not to with models lookin the way that they are.I would say to tell girls to impress themselves not the boys

cuz girls care more about the 'little' things than guys do :P lol. and guys are babies, they always need some1 to take care of them and make sure they know everything about them :P j/k :P lol

OMG I KNOW. 100% agree with you.  it makes me sick. Girls should do what they like and not what guys like. girls werent put on earth to impress boys.

I totally agree! I can't give you a definite answer because I'm not one of those girls. I hate the way some girls (some of my friends included) dress/act a certain way to please boys around them. They should be dressing the way they want to dress and being themselves. No one should change who they are to get attention =]

lol what you said is true, but you know, some times it boosts someone's self esteen if they get their opinions backed up by other people, example: if a girl is brunette, then she'll ask, guys do you like brunettes? and people probably will say yes, then she'll be more confident. and sometimes your doing something wrong without realizing it, like teasing guys too much. asking can change your habit if you see how many people dislike it. so some opinions are okay. what annoys me the most is when people asks: guys, what looks hot on a girl? i mean come on, just dress the way you want, not to impress guys.and these people who asks that probably has no condidence, no style, and will do anything to get guys.

i think it,s the world kids are growing up in today. seeing stuff like on tv and magazines, they try to look like them and because they want a guy so bad, they will try anything under the sun to get them to notice them. i guess things are different then they were when you and i were growing up. just like it,s here where i live, babies having babies.
