Because they are legends basically.  They played all day, everyday.  McCartney played bass from what I know, so I don't know why you are asking about him.  The Beatles sucked basically and that's all there is to it.  They had some good tunes but none of them were out of this world musically.  Rather like Oasis - learn an Oasis song in 5 seconds because the music is a piece of p*ss.  It doesn't make it a bad song but just very easy to play
