Why are the immigration raids even causing a shortage of Kosher Beef? ?

Why can't this plant get back up and running on time? Soaring prices is the last thing we need! This really worries me! how about you?

Rosh Hashanah is more than 10 weeks away, but Peter Swerdlow sees trouble coming. Swerdlow is the owner of Atlanta-based Griller's Pride, which delivers kosher meats and cheeses directly to families in several Southeastern cities. And a U.S. immigration raid at the nation's largest kosher meatpacking plant is making it impossible for him to plan for the flood of orders that always come in for Jewish New Year celebrations. "This little fiasco at this plant has caused the most awful shortage of beef and my gut feeling is it's going to get a lot worse before it gets better. And what it's doing to prices is horrific."

How odd.  All the Kosher is on sale in Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania.  It seems some of the people there had Hepatitis B and I gather they may have to recall all of the kosher they prepared.

It goes to show you too... try and cheat the system and you get burnt, burnt, burnt.

Guess they have to hire some of the few million Americans that are currently Unemployed.See how easy that was,problem solved. Will it mean they might have to pay a higher wage? Most likely, the wages at meat packing plants are artificially low because of the Illegal workforce anyway.Which has enabled Meat packers to inflate their profits for years.Guess now it's going to be time to have to pay a decent wage. They get no pity from me.

You hire criminal invaders to process a item that has to be processed under Jewish laws. People have a hard time believing that you are processing the meats in accordance with Jewish law if you are breaking other laws. The largest Jewish meat packer is not getting the business because of this. The other meat packers can not keep up with the added demand on them. How can you trust a criminal to obey the law if he is breaking other laws? I feel sorry for the other Jewish people who have to pay increased cost because of this but if you were really worried about this you wouldn't spew your pro-illegal immigration message around as that is what is causing this problem (illegal immigration).

No one wants to work there at the wages they pay and I hear its very dangerous working conditions, Beef industry is going to have to offer higher wages if they want Americans working there. I don't care I rarely eat beef, Or you know what we can do is go back to local cattle farming and stop relying on Mega Factory Slaughter Houses
