  1. To those accusing the judges of favouring China,

then what do you say about the Chinese cyclist being disqualified in the women's sprint race.

That proves that the Olympic judges are fair to all countries.

  2. china's been cheating their way tru the olympics so far, mostly in gymnastics, but the olympics are always contriversal

  3. Home Country privileges!

  4. Well why should America always win, why can't America lose sometimes ?

  5. China has been doing better and better

not because it is held in Beijing now

  6. well the athletes are in their home country and they are used to the climatic condition and everything, including the food served. also, athletes are motivated to do well when they are in their home ground.

look at the number of supporters down at all the games, most of them are the locals who are supporting the chinese team. how can a team not do better with so many people coming down to support them? the chinese are so hyped up for the olympics =) with china's rapidly improving economy and technology, it is no surprise they are doing better than in the past.

  7. The  chinese put something in the water,

  8. I suspect that there won't be any Chinese athletes identified as drug cheats at this Olympics, somehow...

  9. China are doing well for several reasons.

    1.  As host country they are entitled to enter any event so they have a HUGE squad.

    2.  They were determined to do well in these Olympics so they've had very high pressure training.

    3. They've had some of the best coaches in the world working with them.

    4.  It was only a matter of time.  Olympic sports were not traditional Chinese sports and they only resumed membership of the IOC in 1979.  Since then, given the level of investment and the population of China it was inevitable their results would improve.

    5.  Sometimes these things just happen, look how well Great Britain is doing after years in the doldrums (though that has a lot to do with investment and training in the run-up to 2012.)

  10. well they are hosting them, they have to put good enough athletes to represent the country that is hosting them. it cant just be a free room to compete in, but also some competitions. if a country cant be any competition in its own country then that would be just sad. so they are just representing

  11. sore loser.

and do some research, China was 2nd in Athens. And only 3 golds behind the US.

    hence....sore loser.

  12. The host nation always does well in the Olympics. If you look back over the past Olympics you will see the pattern. In Chinas case they are a very proud nation of 2 billion people, all who want to be part of this in some way. Also they have had 8 years of preparation for this event. They have a huge pool of people to select from to get the best athletes and they have done it!

  13. Because China is doing amazingly well in this years Olympics...

    FAIR AND SQUARE!

    Get over it.

  14. Because they are good - the judges are not from the countries competing.

  15. Because they deserve the marks they get. China is doing amazingly well.

Rod - You would be wrong there. One was found before the olympics ever started and got a lifetime ban.
