Why are the letters "SRS" written where ever there is an airbag in the car?

Supplementary Restraint System-meaning that they combine with seatbelts-the Primary Restraint System- in a crash situation, to keep your precious body in one piece. And in the car. Needless to say, they work better when combined with the seatbelts. As they say in Australia: No belt=No brains.

SRS stands for Supplemental Restraint System (airbags) and is stamped where airbags are placed so that they're easily identifiable by the consumer.
