Why are the liberals so upset at the choice of Palin?

If she is as incompetent as they are saying, shouldnt they be happy? That would be a sure way for McCain to loose. When Obama picked Biden I smiled, I knew Obama was doomed.

  1. I am a liberal and I am overjoyed by Palin being chosen.  Just another example of the faulty decisionmaking of McCain.

  2. Simple she's a far right conservative.  You'd be mad if we picked Ted Kennedy for VP.

  3. Because she isn't a L*****n socialist extremist who doesn't believe in God and hates the Constitution of the United States.

  4. It seems they are pretty nervous about this pick, she is an unknown, and could prove to a force to be reckoned with. I am behind her 100%, but then again my full support may be a little premature also. I think the biggest reason, is many liberals think McCain picked her just to get Hillary voters.

  5. Because we understand that if McCain is elected this novice would be 1st in command and we love our country enough not to want to see the damage this one could inflict on it

Just look at what the idiot son of GHWB did to us we dread more of that type of irresponsible idiotic leadership

  6. How the Dems are going to beat the Republicans now that McCain has picked a 44 year old, two year governor with only a bachelor's degree in journalism: "McCain could die in office."

As a liberal I couldn't be more overjoyed that the republicans picked a VP candidate who not only makes their Obama is under qualified argument useless but virtually guarantees the lose. That said I do like McCain in many ways and wish he would run a better campaign.

  7. I'm not that upset, but many are because McCain isn't an idiot- Palin is an obvious token candidate that is not as qualified for the job as other possibilities such as Romney, but she is a cheap attempt at picking up disfranchised Clinton supporters and getting the religious right on his side (before this unwed baby business). She was appointed for political reasons, and perhaps the most important reason is that it is so easy for her to play victim- she is young, relatively attractive, and female, and if Biden destroys her in the debates as he is expected to (Biden was probably chosen because he contrasts Obama's clean politics image with an attack-dog style), she will play up her victimhood and invoke sympathy from the Republican base. It is cheap, it is political, it is not what is best for this country.. but considering that we have been talking primarily about Palin as opposed to Obama, Biden, or the Convention, it is working.

  8. They are probably happy that they didn't completely stick to old norms and chose a woman, but then again disagree with her on everything so they feel like they've been cheated.

  9. Because she brings more experience (real life & government) than Obama.

  10. You can't be that stupid. Look at McCain's record, and it shows time, and time again, that he has continued to show bad judgment. His VP pick proves once again, his decisions make no sense. He's a Bush toadie.

  11. Because Palin has more elected executive and political experience than Obama has.

And they have no way to counter that simple fact.

Makes ya wonder, why McCain is to old at age 72, but Biden is just fine, at age 65.

  12. Who's upset about it? I think she's a great choice for highlighting their high level of incompetence! I just laughed when I heard about McCain's decision to take Palin as his veep nominee. d**n! I could understand if he had chosen someone like Condoleeza Rice, or Kay Bailey Hutchinson (Texas senator), but this chick? I think he simply needs someone who is more sophisticated- male or female. I'll betcha her nomination ends up getting withdrawn once they dig up more stuff from her past.

  13. They are scared because Palin has a much better chance at being the first female president than their "christ" Hillary.

  14. To me it seems as though they evened the playing field. McCain kept saying how Obama wasn't experienced enough, then goes and picks someone who doesn't have much experience at all. And it's not like he's a young spring chicken.

Then Obama is talking all about change, and picks someone who has been in the system for a long time and isn't about to completely change the world.

Nonetheless, I am still voting for McCain.

  15. By the way they are squealing about her, you know McCain scored against them.

  16. because McCain is a hypocrite.

he complains about Obama being to young and inexperienced..

and yet! he chooses a person who is even less experienced.

  17. Most liberals don't like fundamentalists.  Fundamentalists are all hypocrites.

I'm a liberal who doesn't like fundamentalists, especially when they are second in line to a Chief Executive with a bad heart.

What part of that do you not understand?
