Why are the majority of models in Asia caucasion?

I heard it in a book, and then I watched a few movies that were set in Japan and South Korea, and the models were all caucasian. Why is this? I'm caucasian, I just want to know why. Thanks.

im south kroean. and i watch alot of korean dramas and ect. well..they just do that because they maybe want an interesting setting.

I guess its exotic for them. there are many asians going on beauty surgeries to make their eyes look like caucasian. and caucasians want asian eyes. and even more pretty is a very dark skin among black people. their eyes look so wonderful.

White skin is respected in Asian countries, not only the oriental ones but even ones like India.

i worked in japan as a model, also stayed in bkk for few months, they adored me for white skin, i cud go any places i like, they wud sat me in vip areas ..etc etc etc

i think they have something, like white skin if from goodness or something

i no, you cant enter thailandish hi-so parties with dark skin

weird- but very cool for white-skinners !
