Why are the months of summer here in the Philippines different from any country?

In the US, it starts in June and ends in September. Here in the Philippines, it starts in April (or late March), and ends in early June. What's the basis for that?

As the world spins on it's axis and revolves around the sun the world is actually tilted at 23 degrees off the perpendicular to the sun, so during the summer since the Philippines is closer to the equator they get an earlier start at summer than the US.

Due to where you're situated in reference to the North Pole.

Phillippines=      13°00'N           122°00'E

United States=      38°0' N         97°0'W

As you can see the Phillippines & USA are 25degrees apart in the Northern direction. Meaning the sun appears for longer periods. In your area it appears sooner because as summer approaches the sun's angle towards the earth changes. That's why there's more daylight in summer than in winter in both our areas.

Some areas of the world it's daylight 20+hours per day. Can you imagine that? but it's true.

Maybe because its warmer in The Philippines year round so maybe that's why Summer begins in The U.S in June & begins in The Philippines in early March or April

I really couldnt tell you but in Scotland we can have all four season near enough in the same week. April this year was cold windy and wet ,We had a beautiful warm sunny week , then a sunny but real cold wind week, then a miserable wet rainy week, and this week started of lovely for a day wet for a couple and lovely and sunny today again. The sky is so low most of the time in Scotland that it can be hard to see our beautiful mountains.
